What’s Going On This Summer

GEARUP for Wright

The 6 week summer program at Wright College is designed to boost COMPASS Test scores and help students get ready for the fall admission process. Classes begin Monday, June 18th and continue for 6 weeks ending on July 27th. On Fridays we offer off-campus excursions into the city.

All of the students received offers to work for Children's. Three of the students have hospital benefits which includes up to $5000 a year for tuition reimbursement for full-timers!

Chicago Avenue.

Participants in the 5K fundraiser included: Gopika Malhotra, Beatriz, Jessy Saavedra, Xochilt Flores, Maria Flores, Mailean Campso, Sonia Hernandez, Letitia Delgado, Angel Alcazar, Maria Rivera, David Sperling, and Jose Muñoz.

Talent Search Supports Awards Letter Analysis

Dunbar High School's post-secondary department hosted an Awards Letter Analysis event on May 17th, 2012. CTC@NEIU's Talent Search program, in partnership with GEAR UP, supported this effort. Staff met one-on-one with students as they analyzed their awards letters and make college enrollment decisions. We try to give our students as much help as they need to make this final push to become college students.
