Dear NEIU Summer Bridge Program Participant:

WELCOME!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to you from the NEIU Summer Bridge Program. The NEIU Summer Bridge Program offers two sessions that are designed to strengthen your confidence in your English and Math abilities.

WHO QUALIFIES?

If you are a first-year incoming freshmen admitted for Fall 2017, this FREE summer program is for you! The program's two sessions are designed to strengthen your confidence in your English and Math abilities. Gain the skills needed to successfully place into at least one higher level math or English course for the Fall 2017 semester. Take one or two of the 3 week sessions listed below if you qualify!

July 3rd - July 21st, 2017 Monday - Thursday:

To participate in the English session, you must place into ELP 095, ELP 096, OR ELP 097.
Math Session
(3 weeks)
July 24th - August 11th, 2017 Monday - Thursday:
9a.m. - 3p.m.
Friday:
9a.m. - 1p.m.
Main Campus,
El Centro, and CCICS
To participate in the Math Session, you must place into MATH 090, 091, OR 092
    * The English Session will not meet on July 4th.

ENGLISH AND MATH SESSIONS

The English and Math sessions of our program offers students the opportunity to solve homework problems with peers while receiving guidance from a trained undergraduate or graduate peer leader in comfortable learning environments. You will also participate in social events each day of the program to connect with other students in the program, form study groups, and make friends!

WHY SHOULD I JOIN?

On this website, you will learn many reasons why you should join this beneficial program. This FREE program can help you SAVE up to $4,000 on TUITION and fees. This program will also help you reduce your time to graduation!

HOW DO I GET STARTED?

Step 1: You must be a first-year incoming freshmen admitted for Fall 2017 or an NEIU student. For more information please explore this website: http://homepages.neiu.edu/~emerge

Step 2: You must take the NEIU Placement Test in English and Math in the year 2017 to see if you qualify for NEIU Summer Bridge Program. To register for the test visit http://www.neiu.edu/academics/new-student-family-programs-nsfp/testing-services/placement-test-scheduleregistration-page or call 773-442-5293.

Step 3: If you qualify for NEIU Summer Bridge Program, complete the NEIU Summer Bridge Program online application

Step 4: A member of the NEIU Summer Bridge Program Team will follow up with your after you complete the online application
